ANIMAL WELFARE APPROVED
Our bison graze freely in large open pastures year-round, on rugged and biodiverse Northeastern Ontario terrain. They are never treated with hormones and are antibiotic free. We have a simple feed protocol: plentiful pasture in summer months and quality hay or hay silage in winter time. We’ve found that this produces healthy grassfed animals, raised the way nature intended.
We are thrilled to be a leader among bison farms in Canada by becoming Animal Welfare Approved by AGW and take pride in being good stewards of our animals and our land. A Greener World’s (AGW) certification highlights our commitment to high animal welfare, our respect for the environment and sustainable farming practices, including rotational grazing and soil health optimization.
QUALITY BREEDING STOCK
We’ve maintained diversified performance genetics of plains bison for more than 50 years. Our animals are clearly tagged for traceability and we keep detailed weight gain and health records.
We’ve recently upgraded our corral facilities with first-class equipment. The weighing, loading and unloading process is well organized for efficiency and control. If you want to add to your herd or start one, look to us for quality breeding stock.
