About the artist
Lionel Venne is self taught in the arts. Collage, mixed media, watercolours, acrylics, and tapestry are among the media he chooses for interpreting what he sees and feels.
His works are included in private and corporate collections in Canada, the United States, England, Scotland, Germany, Belgium, Norway, Australia, France and Italy.
Living in Northern Ontario, Lionel values the closeness to nature and believes that “found objects, no matter how humble they may be, are not created or destroyed by my hand – only transformed. […] The resulting works combine elements of landscape, impasto textures, and geometric forms.”
